Long Term Sub Extraordinaire
My name is Mr. Diamond and this will be my second year working at Sunol Glen! 2022-2023 was my first year as an educator and I can't wait to work with Mrs. Garcia's class. Sunol Glen has an amazing community, which I have been so lucky to be a part of. I attended Sunol Glen when I was in the 5th grade and was here all the way through 8th grade, having some of my teachers now become my colleagues.
I was raised in Pleasanton and attended Foothill High School. I went on to attend community college at Las Positas in Livermore and eventually transfer to the University of California, Santa Barbara. I graduated with a B.A. in Communication studies and a minor in Education. I hope to continue my education journey by attending a Master's in Teaching program at the University of Washington or Berkeley.
Teaching is my passion and I love learning. School is the most important opportunity we have in life and I love the experience of being an influence to the future minds of our world. To me, it's important to learn but to have fun while doing it! I always try to get students to think philosophically and critically, whether it's about a lesson or something as simple as a tree. Our minds are meant to be creative and learning was meant to be our drive.
