3rd Grade Math
3rd Grade Math is taught by Mrs. Cimino/Ms. Wojcik &
Mr. Diamond/Ms. Garcia
We use common-core aligned Eureka Math curriculum, which aims at developing conceptual understanding and focuses on the different processes of solving problems. Students need to be able to explain their thinking using pictures, equations, & sentences to show a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. A further explanation of the seven learning modules is outlined below. Third graders will also be expected to show a fluent mastery of their multiplication & division facts 0-12.
We also use the following supplemental programs:
Zearn -- daily with the correlating assigned lesson, do not work ahead & be sure to keep up with each assigned day's lesson
iReady Math -- interactive math competency program to be used when finished with the day's Eureka math lesson, at least twice a week for 40 minutes. Will also be used for diagnostic assessments.
