A native of New Providence, Mr. Shane Kress graduated from Rowan University with a BA in Radio/TV/Film. After graduation, he worked in the production department of WMGM-TV in Atlantic City and also received his MA in Broadcasting/Telecommunications/Mass Media from Temple University. Shane has been teaching television and video since 2005. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, DIY home improvement projects, and endurance road racing.
Ms. Miah Arana is thrilled to join the LCJSMS community as a new member of the Arts Department. A recent graduate of both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at Montclair State University, she is excited to begin her teaching career in the Summit Public School District.
This year, Ms. Arana teaches Video Production, Film Studies, Crime Scene Forensics, 21st Century Skills, and Civil Discourse. She is passionate about helping students express their creativity, think critically, and develop essential communication and collaboration skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
