Meghan Arts-Scozzari is the Ceramics/Sculpture teacher at Summit High School. She has been teaching since 2006 and has been a part of the high school staff since 2012. Mrs. Arts-Scozzari holds a BA in Art Education and an MA in Museum Management from Montclair State University. She is an active member of the National Council on Education For The Ceramic Arts (NCECA). Mrs. Arts-Scozzari is also a member of the Icehouse Pottery Co-Op in Riverdale, NJ. She is a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts and is a leader for her daughter’s troop. She resides in Jefferson with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Brendan and Lizzie, as well as their dog, Willow.
Jessica Breznak joined the department in the 2022-2023 school year as the Brayton and Franklin Art Teacher. Summit Public Schools has been her home for 9 years. After student teaching at LCJSMS, she began her journey at Franklin Elementary as an instructional aide, 1st, 2nd, and then 5th grade teacher. She had also served as Franklin's Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) coordinator. Jessica attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where she achieved her Bachelor's in Fine Art, Master's in Education, and certifications in both Elementary and Art Education. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, being outside or listening to Dungeons and Dragons podcasts.
Lindsay Morse teaches Art I and Digital Art 1-4 at Summit High School. She holds a BFA in Visual Communications and Design from Pratt Institute as well as a Masters in Art and Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has been teaching in Summit since 2017. Before coming to SHS, Lindsay taught studio art at a private school, to students in preschool through 8th grade. She also spent 8 years working in the graphic design industry, and held jobs working in a variety of sectors from an internship at a record label, to working for an editorial publication, in-house at a fashion label, and for various beauty brands in New York City and abroad. Outside of school, Lindsay enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and reading.
Juana Rodriguez has been teaching art at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School for the past 15 years. She has a Masters of Fine arts in Studio Art from Montclair State University and a Bachelors in Art concentrating in painting and Drawing from New Jersey City University. Juana 's experience also extends to post-secondary education and has taught visual art and art history at Montclair State University and Union County College as an adjunct professor. In addition, she has participated in several art exhibitions in the NJ and NY areas and continues to have an active involvement in her art practice. In her free time, Juana loves to read, draw, and spend time with her husband Edwin and two daughters, Darlene and Sarah.
I am a lifelong resident of Summit. Myself, my wife and our children all graduated from Summit Hi2gh School and I have been teaching here for 17 years after spending 15 working in the field of photography. My work has been published in the New York Times, Newsweek and Fortune Magazine and have completed assignments for the United Nations, Canon USA and the 92nd Street Y.
Brian Steger teaches the Art Cycle courses for Grades 6-8.
Allison White is the art teacher at Washington and Franklin Elementary Schools. She is a graduate of Montclair State University holding a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Animation and Illustration. Recently, Allison completed the owl mural outside of Washington school! Outside of teaching Allison attends many local art fairs and conventions selling her personal artwork and handbound books. For fun Allison loves thrifting, reading and traveling.
Kelly Wright is a practicing artist and teacher. She is currently working on a Masters in Art Education from The Art of Education University, and holds a Masters of Fine Art from William Paterson University (2018), a Bachelors of Fine Art (2008) from the University of the Arts, and a Certificate for K-12 Art Education (2008). Mrs. Wright has worked at Summit High School since 2010 teaching a variety of fine arts classes. She spends her free time with her husband, daughter, son, and rambunctious dog Pixie.
Ashley Yospin has been teaching at Jefferson and Lincoln-Hubbard School since 2011. In 2008, she received a Bachelor of Art in Studio Fine Arts and in 2009, a Masters of Art in Teaching - both at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has also received a Masters of Science in Educational Technology in 2017 at Ramapo University. For fun she loves spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, and their sweet loving dog Hope. She continues practicing Art through creating kraft paper banners for all types of celebrations.
