After teaching in several different districts, Ms. Ann Dooley settled down in Summit teaching Technology Education and Innovative Design Challenge at LCJSMS. In 2017, Ms. Dooley moved up to the high school and currently teaches Materials and Processes, Electronics and Intro to STEM. In her 24 years as a teacher, she has had the pleasure of teaching so many Summit students and their siblings, whether through classes at the MS and HS or teaching FLASH summer camp over the past 10 years. Ms. Dooley has a BS in Technology Education from the College of NJ and MS in Educational Technology from Ramapo. She has 2 grown children; her daughter lives in Washington DC and her son is pursuing his master's degree in business. She likes to travel, go to the beach, read, work in her vegetable garden in the summer and tinker around in her 150-year old Victorian house.
Krista Saturnia currently teaches Architecture/CAD, Interior Design I, and one of the Art Studio I classes at Summit High School. Prior to joining SHS, she taught art at Dunellen Middle School and High School. She holds a BFA in Communication Design and spent 30+ years as a graphic designer, production artist, brand designer and stylist at various fashion and non-profit organizations. She enjoys dabbling in prop design and 3-D modeling, as well as upcycling furniture. Krista loves studying animal behavior and observing them in their natural habitat, most recently traveling to an uninhabited island off Scotland's west coast to study puffins. She also volunteered with a miniature horse therapy program for several years in Chester. Krista loves being with her family, watching sci-fi movies and shows, and listening to movie scores.
