Futsal Pathway

The futsal pathway has been the only enrichment choice for students since the programme started in 2012 and has proved to be extremely popular despite students not usually knowing much about the sport of futsal when the begin the course.

In this pathway, students will train twice a week and compete in the EFL Trust National Futsal League once a week at the English Insititute of Sport in Sheffield. League tables, top scorers and other match stats are tracked on the website (link below). Teams who finish the season in the top three positions in the regional league will qualify for the end of season National Finals where they will compete against the best teams from other regional divisions such as Norwich City, Chelsea, Plymouth Argyle and many more.

All Stars

As well as competing in the league, students who excel in futsal will also be invited to compete in the new All Stars competition at the world-famous St George's Park where you will play in exhibition matches with other clubs' top players in front of the England U19 scouts. Players who impress on the day will be invited to train with the England U19 futsal squad.

This will be spread over a full day at the end of March and the EFL will pay for your transport to and from St George's Park.
