Choose a pebble and hold it in your hand.
Sit quietly and let the warmth of your hand warm the stone.
Sit with God and talk about the people who bring warmth and love into your life.
As you drop the pebble into the bowl of water,
pray for those people.
Watch the ripples on the water.
Imagine this is God’s love spreading to everyone.
For a few moments think of anyone you know
who may be having a difficult time at the moment.
Blow a bubble and say, ‘ Jesus, be
with ............ (name)
Watch silently as the bubble rises and vanishes.
"Mary, you're going to have a baby!"
This term in RE, we have been reading and learning about two stories: Feeding the 5,000 and Jesus Welcomes the Children. Through these stories, we learned that Jesus was such a kind and caring person who always wanted to help people.
We thought really carefully about things that we could do to be like Jesus. Lots of us had ideas like "help my friends when they fall over," "give cuddles" or "make cards for my friends." We loved those ideas, but we thought that instead of just being kind to our friends, we could show kindness to our community too!
We decided to make special "kindness cards" with the happiest of pictures - smiley faces, rainbows, balloons and flowers - with messages like "I hope you have a lovely day" and "I hope this card makes you smile." Some of us then visited Torkington House, the care home across the street, to deliver these special cards to the residents.
The children were all so excited to go and they really put smiles on the faces of the residents. It was a wonderful visit and we hope we can do it again soon!
Take a look at our daily prayers. Can you practice them at home?
