Students participating in Speech and Debate at AFHS have the opportunity to visit middle schools on a biweekly basis and teach students the ins and outs of their event. The goal of the outreach program is to allow middle school students to discover parts of their personalities that may not otherwise be found, improve public speaking skills, give them new tools to help them in real-life situations, and prepare them for Speech and Debate in high school. As for highschoolers, outreach helps us hone our craft, foster our future club members, grow our leadership abilities, and get in those volunteering hours!
AFHS is partnered with Apex Middle and Apex Friendship Middle for outreach programs. We are always looking for volunteers!
