Theatre Interpretation (or Dramatic Performance) is the collection of four speech events: Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Program Oral Interpretation.
Within all events the competitor presents a piece of literature or published media up to but not exceeding ten minutes of length. Explore the dropdowns below to learn more about each event.
DI is a speech in which one person performs a dramatic scene acting as multiple characters.

Duo Interpretation is a speech in which two speakers perform either a dramatic or humorous piece acting as multiple characters.

POI is a presentation of several selections that represent a common theme or message. These selections can consist of two of the following genres: prose, poetry, and drama.
