Abstract Shoe

Markers, Graphite and Pens on printmaking paper

The main idea of this artwork was the drawing of my shoe. At first, I just started just trying to think of ideas for this piece. So then I thought of the idea of drawing a galaxy but I wanted it to be in the background so I used the yellow maker and black marker to represent light and darkness. From there, I tried to shade it so that the lightness was getting weaker near the darkness and the darkness was getting weaker near the light.

For this piece, I was originally going to use just colored pencils, but when I was drawing I realized that the color wasn't bold enough and it was taking to0 long so ended up using some colored pencils, graphite, and just normal Crayola markers.

I explained most of the process in the first paragraph, but after I was done with the lightness against the darkness I started on the galaxy. So I decied I wanted to add a big planet so I chose the biggest planet Jupitar. Then I just added things someone may see through a telescope or just in space generally. I should have added a lot more very small stars but I just didnt have the time.
