Scraffito

For the clay scraffito project I chose to do a moonlight over the ocean because at the time it was told to me that it was going to be black and white at the end so thats the first thing that came to my mind.

I used a slab of clay and some black glaze to make this piece. 

To do this project I first looked up a picture of the moon to see what the darker parts of it look like so I could leave that part alone and then ones I made the shape of the moon I tryed to at like highlights to it to make it seem more vibrant but ended up just making it look bigger and finally I just added scratch markes directly under the moon to make it look like ripples.
