sustained investigation #3

artist statement

My drawing is supposed to represent sadness or a more blue feeling through my painting. It is a painting that i took in a completely different direction than the first 2. This painting relates to my other 2 through the thought of showing emotion in a landscape, i put in a little bit of texture even though it wasn't a part of my actual thing.

For this piece i used acrylic paint, and colored pencil. I picked these materials because i wanted to show depth through different lines. i needed to be able to trace and define certain pieces of this drawing.

The process i went through to be able to create this piece was another quick thinking process and a quick sketch which i soon defined with dull colors to express sadness. I really think it evolved because the more and more i sketched the better detail it had. My next steps could be learning how to define and shape my pieces better.
