Artist Statement

My drawing is supposed to represent happiness and boredom as my emotions in the painting. It is another acrylic painting to follow along with my last one including the horizontal lines to show depth. The skies color as well as the sea is there to represent the happiness that can be found even if it is hidden behind mountains of boredom. This topic relates to my 1st sustained investigation.

For this piece i used acrylic, and colored pencil. I picked these materials because i wanted o be able to get the clean lines throughout my piece because they can easily represent in more detail the emotion. it was important to me to try and use the horizontal lines again even through it did not go quite as well this time.

The process i went through to be able to create this piece was once again giving myself only a moment to think and then drawing what i imagined these 2 emotions together would look like. i personally don't think i gave myself quite enough time to be able to make it to its full potential but i did the best i could with the time i had.
