About Me

Artistic Inspiration

Reflection

My name is Ben Wagner, I was born in Portland, Maine, I have one sister named Alex, At home I speak English, I don't have an exact career goal set. In five years I see myself in college sleeping. I do not know anybody that has gone to college for art. I'am most proud of the pictures that I take because they show my true nature. I enjoy playing video games, and hanging out with friends during my free time. I enrolled in this course because I wanted to learn more about photography. The photographer I'm very interested in is Invader, one of his pictures are actually on my About Me projects. My Ideal job would be working from home on the stock market/Amazon. Funny, Sweet, Kind.

The Image on the left is in my About Me project because I really like the type of art form that is used in this photo which shows the differences of technology. As you can see above the picture is taken in a place of poverty you can see this by the type of vehicles that are in the image. Also then the children are wearing virtual reality headset which show a different reality. The other meaning behind the picture is that we use technology to show a different perspective on the world. Especially the colors of the vehicles like the blue and all the graffiti and stickers looks really cool.

The Image in the middle is in my About Me project because I really like the backgrounds and colors and editing that went into this Image. Also I'am fascinated by asian art especially art from Nepal / Tibet because there is so much to learn from their art forms. Especially the culture in the bottom of the picture shows a new expression to the image. Also the colors of the blue covering the rolling mountains looks beautiful.

The Image on the right is in my About Me project because I really like graffiti and video games. I really like playing old retro video games and the whole concept of the ninja turtles is that they love pizza and about you can see that he is eating a slice of pizza above a pizza shop. And I think it really shows the meaning of the game and I think that it is really cool. Especially how well he made the graffiti with the perfect colors against the textures of the brick work great.

Goat Farms Art Center, File Cabinets 2018

The reason why the Goat Farms Art Center is one of my inspirations is because, they are located in Atlanta Georgia where my favorite tv show is recorded. I have also been to the Goat Farms Art Center and seen the picture above IRL. I also really like nature and the way they added something so random like a file cabinet to the piece makes it so wonderful. Also the rustic color from the cabinets colliding with the color from the ground and the trees looks very odd but good odd.

Yang, Yongliang Phantom Landscape III 2007, 78 3/4 in x 19 5/8 in

I really like this image because I've always like this type of art form which is kind of like scrolls and it has a different meaning behind it. The different meaning is that in the mountains above all the cities more cities and technology grow and take over precious, beautiful land. I also really like how there is a blur of fog around the mountains which gives it this really cool mysterious perspective.
