This oil painting, "Interconnections," explores women empowerment and relationships. Inspiration was taken from a Pakistani American artist, Shahzia Sikander, whose work illustrates similar themes. Additional elements like artistic style were heavily influenced by surrealist and baroque style paintings.

Additional elements like artistic style were heavily influenced by surrealist and baroque style paintings.
The two faces to the left are my personal favorites. While they were enjoyable to paint, I do believe these are the strong points in the painting.
This was a struggle area for me, the top right corner of the painting could have used a stronger element whether it'd be a form of conflict or something more identifiable. If changes were made it could have made the painting stronger in theme and presentation
