Solve a world problem

` Our process:

Our group first started by brainstorming ideas and world problems that we could try to solve. We then narrowed it down to car crashes and further narrowed it down to Deaths in car crashes preventable by wearing seat belts. After we had a problem we needed to figure out how to solve it. so each of the five-members split up to do one topic of research so that we could figure out how to solve our world problem. after we finished the research we came to the idea of the car not being able to start without you having your seat belt on. Now we needed to figure out how to make this work. After brainstorming for a while we decided to make a pressure plate. After we made the pressure plate the next problem we ran into is what if someone sat in the passenger seat. So we decided to make a reverse pressure plate while the regular pressure plate connects the signal the reverse pressure plate disconnects the signal. After we finished the pressure plates we then started working on a chair prototype that we could put the pressure plate on after a full day of building the chair we were done with all of the construction. Then we started to work on a presentation to share with the class our solution to our world problem.

                                                                                                                   Reflection:

I think that our group worked almost perfectly everyone was on task we all had ideas and to do people had strengths in different places for example carter and hunter worked on engineering the pressure plate while Will and I worked on building the chair and putting it all together while Cody worked on the slideshow and helped on the building when needed when hunter and carter and will and I finished what we were doing we transitioned over to the slideshow to help Cody put the finishing touches on and change anything that we needed to change. I feel like I could have helped a little more when doing the slide show. I think what worked so well for our group was that we all had different strengths and we could all work on something separately and then put those things together and change it as needed. I think that could also share ideas and nobody was close-minded so we were able to take critiques from others to better what we were doing. I had a very fun time during this project and worked well will the group and enjoyed it a lot.
