Evidence of work:
The first part of the building process was figuring out what we wanted to make so my group and I got together to pick our instruments carter did a gutiar, will did drums, hunter made xylophone, and I made wind chimes once we had that figured out we got to work I got lucky and found all the perfect parts that I needed to make a wind chime and by the seconed day of building I was almost done and I just had to make a few changes along the way I ran into a few problems with the wind chimes being too close tother so I fixed it by tieing them on both th top and bottom side so they could not hit each too much but could also move freely enough. Once my group and I all finished our projects we got to work on the presentation and then it was time to present.
Content:
Frequency is the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time. Frequency is measured in units of hertz )which is equal to one occurrence of a repeating event per second.
Wave Length:
Wavelength is the distance between the crest of the wave, to the next crest. Wavelength is measured in meters
Wave Speed:
Wave speed is the distance a wave travels in a given amount of time. Wave speed is related to wavelength and wave frequency.
Amplitude:
Amplitude is the distance from the rest of the wave to the crest of the wave.
Transverse wave:
transverse wave is a moving wave whose oscillations movement back and forth at a regular speed are perpendicular to the direction of the wave .
Longitudunal Wave:
A longitudinal wave is a wave in which the particle movement is parallel to the direction of the wave.
Electromagnetic Spectrum:
The entire range of wavelengths or frequencies of electromagnetic radiation extending from gamma rays to the longest radio waves and including visible light.
Reflection: I think that this project went well for the most part but It just did not turn out the way that I wanted it to. I think that I could have done better by building a better instrument and having a better presentation. There were lots of opportunities for individual growth for me by being able to do my part of the project and then coming together. I had to think for myself and what I could do to make it the best instead of sometimes relying on teammates to help me out. I am a bit bummed about how the final product turned out but I had a very fun time making the project and I liked learning about waves and how it is tied into our everyday life. I also was fascinated by how it is everywhere we look and I thought it was very cool to learn more about how our cell phones communicate and how sound is transmitted and how sound waves are produced. I will work to do the things that I need to improve on better in the next project
