Introduction:
As soon as we finished the last project we got straight into this next one. We were put into partners. The first task was to create a diagram of the solar system using whatever knowledge we already knew about it. Afterwards, we started learning some more in depth information and data about the solar system. We used this new found information to help us create the next four diagrams.
Model 3:
For model 2 we were supposed to focus on more of the size of the planet as well as the distance away from the sun. We were also asked to add any additional facts and information known about the planet. In our case, we mentioned the amount of days in a year and moons each had.
Model 4:
For model 3 we were tasked to figure out our own equation or graph of some sorts in order to predict something about a "new" planet that Mr Williams had found. Then we were asked to analyze and give reasoning for said prediction.
Model 5:
Lastly, for model 5, we had to state 4 seprate things we could assume about a new planet based off of sertain equations and information. Then we had to put that to the test and find correct information for Earth, Planet X, and Planet Y.
We used this equation to find what our weight would be if on this planet. Here are the results:
Earth: 577N
Planet X: 48N
Planet Y: 16N
Knowing this, you are able to assume that Earth has the most gravity. 9.8 m/s to be exact. Then Plant X has the middle gravity. Meaning it is the second largest of the 3 planets. And lastly is Planet Y, the smallest, as well as the planet with the least amount of gravity.
Reflection:
I think my partner and I were very good at critical thinking and did well when trying to figure out the equations and fixing any problems that we may have faced throughout this project. Personally, I think I was way more cooperative and made sure both of us were doing equal work. Trying my best not to be too bossy or controlling. This, I think I did pretty well at.
With that being said, I think I was way less focused and got distracted very easily. This whole project, was more mathematical and scientific leaving it to be less hands on which made it harder for me to keep a good work ethic. A lot of times when learning something I may be less interested in, I tend to focus on other, unrelated things. This is something I will definitely need to work on for future projects and assignments to come.
