Task
Our task was to create a video explaning the physics behind a sport.
Our Video
Our group brainstormed a sport that we all knew well, and decided to Pick soccer. In this video we described the steps behind a penalty kick and the Physics around it. In order to make the video, our group made a storyboard, filmed, and found the calculations of a penalty kick.

Calculations
Force of Impact: The force of impact is is the amount of force on an object for a certain amount of time. The equation is Ft = mv. Our force of impact was 562.4 Newtons.
Horizontal Velocity: Horizontal velocity is is the speed at which an object travels horizontally. You find it by taking the distance horizontal divided by the time it took. The equation would be d/t. Our Horizontal velocity was 16.4 Meters per second.
Vertical Velocity: Vertical velocity is the speed of an object falling to the ground. To find the vertical velocity you take the time of the fall of an object and multiply it by the acceleration of gravity. The equation is (Gravity)(Time of fall). Our vertical velocity was 4.9 Meters per second
Total Velocity: Total velocity is the horizontal velocity and vertical velocity added using pythagorean theorem. To find total velocity we square both horizontal and vertical velocity then add them. Then we square root the sum. a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Our total velocity was 17.11 meters per second
Velocity before impact: The velocity before impact is how much velocity the person has before the impact. To find the Velocity before impact you divide the distance by the time. Our velocity before impact was 2.4 meters per second.
Conservation of momentum: The conservation of momentums means that the momentum before a collision must be equal to momentum after a collision.
Reflection
I thought that our project went very well. I thought that my collaboration towards the project was very good. I helped to film, did the calculations, and edited the video. I was happy that my collaberation was at a all time high, so we could finish the video in time, and have a good product. Another thing that I thought I did well was my critical thinking. This was because it was my first time using physics for a sport, so I had to use what I knew about physics in general and use it towards my sport.
I think I can always work on my character during group projects. This is because, when I am stressed, I tend to not be the nicest person. Therefor my character towards my group mates can be negative and not help our project. Another thing I could work on is my communication. Sometimes I think that my group members already know what I want them to do, which is often not the case. I also need to work on communicating in a simpler way to make sure everyone can understand.
