I had to create a song and music video relating to nuclear fusion, fission, and radioactive decay, (Alpha, Beta, Gamma). The major problem was figuring out what these words meant. Once I did my research I created rhymes about nuclear fusion. Then nuclear fission. Then radioactive decay. I wanted to my song to resemble a gangster rap. To do this I added in profanity and intimidating lyrics in order to create my hard image. After completing my lyrics I searched for beats that I believed would suit my song well. Originally I was wanting to have a classic Run DMC style music video. With me and my group mates yelling into a closeup camera. I wanted a beat to match this. I decided to use the "Lane Changing" instrumental.
I then rapped over this beat inside my hoodie in Mr. Tracey's class during break. I recorded it on Sound Cloud, from where I then sent it to my phone and uploaded the completed song to iMovie. Later that day during lunch, myself, my group mates, and my crew held a listening party in Ms. Vogl's classroom where I shot my music video. I then uploaded these collection of silent videos to imovie and then my project was complete. I then presented to class and I thought I got some great feedback to take into consideration whenever I create another project of this sort. My inspiration was myself and I'd like to thank my producer, John Olbrantz for helping me record this piece of art.
Nuclear fusion: nuclear reaction in which atomic nuclei of low atomic number fuse to form a heavier nucleus with the release of energy.
Nuclear fission:a nuclear reaction in which a heavy nucleus splits spontaneously or on impact with another particle, with the release of energy.
Radioactive decay: is the process by which an unstable atomic nucleus loses energy by radiation. A material containing unstable nuclei is considered radioactive. Three of the most common types of decay are alpha decay (𝛼-decay), beta decay (𝛽-decay), and gamma decay
