We started with coming up with a story board. We came up with the general ideas of what we wanted to include. We then created a script. After that we started the filming process. We started with the introduction and ending. After that, we filmed the scene with Josh throwing the two balloons. After that we calculated everything. After that, we filmed all of the scenes and voice overs talking about the calculations. After that we edited the video and we were done!
We measured the force of impact of both sizes of balloon on our board. The small balloon had 150N. The large balloon had 260N.
The large balloon had a horizontal velocity of 10.5m/s. The small balloon had a horizontal velocity of 12.2m/s.
The large balloon had a vertical velocity of 2.8m/s. The small balloon had a vertical velocity of 2.44m/s.
Our large balloon had a total velocity of 10.8m/s. The small balloon had a total velocity of 12.4 m/s.
I learned a lot from this project. The first thing that I think we did well was time management. We all did our part and handled the time well. There was not a moment where I was worried about the amount of time we had left. The second thing I thought we did well was voice our opinions. We all put in helpful comments and discussed well. When we got out of hand and started to get frustrated with others we were able to take a step back, apologize, and civilly discuss the issue. Some things that I think I could improve on is leadership. I believe that if I lead the team a little more we could have finished sooner and added more to our video. Secondly, I believe that I could have asked how to help more. For almost all of the project I found things to do, but I should've asked anyone if they needed help with anything. Most of the time I was working on my own part, but it would've been helpful if I was willing to explain things to the group members that didn't understand entirely. Along with this, I should've explained how to improve the take while filming. Over all, this was a very successful project.
