For our Do It Better Project, we decided to redo the Solve a World Problem project. We chose to solve the issue of Invasive Plants taking over native ecosystems. We started by doing some background research on invasive species. Invasive Species are commonly brought into new ecosystems by tourists. Once released into their new ecosystem, they decimate local populations and lower the diversity. Invasive plants are an issue worldwide and have been worsening in recent years. 

Next, we began to research invasive plants here in Novato and how to get rid of them. Some methods included cutting/mowing, pulling, and biological. There are many different kinds of invasive plants in Novato with many disastrous impacts. As it turns out, invasive species cost the world lots of money, approximately $423 billion worth. 

During this project, we focused on simplifying the information presented. We also improved the simplicity of our design making it simpler and easier to understand. 

Content: For this project, we had to research and analyze data from many different websites. We had to find credible websites with accurate and up-to-date data for our specific region. After collecting all of this data, we had to synthesize it and form it into easy-to-understand slides.

Reflection: During this project I believe that I did especially well in my collaboration and communication with my group. I worked with my group without issue and helped everybody out when they needed assistence. I also encouraged my groumates to stay on task. I believe that I could have done a better job being less focused on following the schedule we had created for the project. Another area that I think I can improve on is asking more for my groupmates' input regarding the design of our project.
