the sound of music, the colors and moods

some songs make me think of foods

songs make me think of memories

like watching jeopardy

sad songs sense suffering souls

happy hymns happen happily

there are songs for everybody

bumping through the sound holes

Some of my most challenging moments in writing my poems were connecting my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I am not the biggest fan of going deep in emotion so this was a giant and quite challenging step for me. The most important thing I learned about myself was that I can be more expressive of myself. I also went out of my comfort zone in speaking in front of many people that I did not want to recite this poem to.
