In this step of our CAPSTONE design process, we used a lot of our time looking into budgeting, materials, and the current market for our product. This step was really insightful in gaining a better sense of how we can manufacture our product and create a business model from it.

During this project, I felt our group was very good at communication. Our group decided to split up some tasks by communicating what each person was doing and then come back together and discuss what we each did. This worked very well for our group because it gave everyone more perceived time and helped everyone conclude their tasks to better understand the project. Something else we did well with was time management. When we were given this project we got straight to work collecting data, and this was beneficial to our group because we got ahead of the work, and then we were able to split up the rest of the assignments and complete them all on time. Overall I would say we are doing really well on this project.

Although we work really well together and have the ability to get anything done, we also become really side tracked together. Just this past week we struggled to find motivation to get our work done because we were so focused on the break from school ahead of us. This is something that has made getting work done harder. Every time we have been able to get our work turned in on time but to improve our time management, we can work on our self discipline within our group. Being able to control our ability to focus will expand our productivity both inside and outside of this class. Part of the interaction outside of this class includes communication with our mentors. During this project we contacted multiple mentors to help us design and build our ideas, but we have had shakey communication with them. In the future of this project we need to communicate better with them and figure out a more effective way to receive advice.
