This is a series of three facilitated interactive workshops – each focusing on a specific classroom management topic: The Social Contract; Policies and Procedures; and Challenging Students.
The Social Contract
Description: A Social Contract is an agreement between teacher and students about the values, rules, and consequences for classroom behavior. Its purpose is to establish rules and consequences based on guiding principles or values that will guide students in their activities and interactions together. It is a strategy that involves group decision-making, input, and commitment to empowering students to take ownership of their instructional time with the teacher as a guide and ally.
