Workshop Details:
Offered synchronously over Zoom
Both sessions are from 3:30 - 5:30 pm
2+2+2 format REQUIRES attendance to BOTH sessions to earn 6 hours of Staff Development
Initial session introduces content to reflect advocacy, biases, and culture in the classroom (2 hours)
Implementation of content/skills from March 18 to April 14 (2 hours)
Debrief session provides a review of content and presentation by participants (2 hours)

Lourdes “Lulu” Amador has been with North Orange County ROP since 2013; starting her professional experience with the organization as a classified staff. In partnership with the Orange County Probation Department, Lulu was an Instructor of a Career Training for Transition course working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system. She has over 15 years of experience in the Family, Child, and Community industry working with youth in non-profit, federal, and state settings in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. As the Instructional Coach for North Orange County ROP, Lulu strives to build positive relationships with the Instructors and Administrators she supports and has learned to be comfortable calling herself "techy". She continues to search for ways to grow professionally and enjoys spending time away from work on the baseball field watching her two favorite players in the world.
Jamie Kough is an arts advocate, mentor, curriculum writer and educator. She has been in arts education for 35 years teaching preschool through graduate students. Kough also has a fine and performance art practice in social artmaking. She is mother to three adult children and married to a high school administrator who is a United States Army Colone. When she's not working, she is hiking, biking, swimming, working in the yard or cooking a new vegan recipe.
