Liliana's immigration process

Liliana's move to the United States was a significant change for her. She had to navigate a new country and culture. She also had to go through the immigration process, which included filling out extensive paperwork, waiting for her application to be processed, and undergoing an interview at the embassy. Her paperwork that she already had from Peru wasn't trusted by the United States government, so they made her undergo many medical processes again. They made her take the vaccines that she took when she was a child again, and they did an unnecessarily thorough physical examination. She described the physical examination as very invasive and embarrassing. The examinations made Liliana feel like a test subject, and felt a sense of distrust. She was very confused as to why the process was so difficult because she already had a visa that she used to visit her now husband. Overall, the move was challenging but it offered Liliana new opportunities to live with her husband and start their family.
