Her Legacy

Liliana's Family

Liliana is married and has two children. She and her husband have been married for several years, and they met in Peru before Liliana moved to the United States. They would travel back and forth between Peru and America while they were dating. They met because they were both working in the chemistry field. Her husband does not have a strong connection to Peruvian culture, but Liliana tries to keep her family connected to their roots by teaching her children about their heritage and traveling back to Peru whenever possible. Her son speaks fluent Spanish and her daughter can easily understand it. They attend events in town to further their connection to Peruvian culture. Peruvian culture is very prevalent in Liliana's life as she says "I eat beans and rice almost every day." Liliana's family is an important part of her life, as she is a proud mother and wife, and she loves to share her culture with them.
