The Girls Programming League (GPL) Challenge is our annual online programming competition for middle and high school girls and non-binary students. Held every September since 2018, GPL attracts over 100 participants from schools across multiple countries.
The event features a two-hour algorithmic programming contest with problems written by our Programming Club members, split into novice and advanced divisions. Each year has a different thematic focus, such as artificial intelligence or cybersecurity, connecting programming challenges to current technology trends.
GPL also includes a panel discussion with women in tech who share their experiences and offer guidance to participants. This combination of competition and mentorship provides a supportive environment for young women to explore computer science and connect with peers who share their interests.
Please check back in August 2026 for GPL 2026 registration!
