Description: The Model United Nations Team was founded in 1997. Members of MUN engage in debates and seek resolutions in the political, military, social, economic, and environmental problems of the world. Members attend Model United Nations at different schools in the area, attending roughly 6 a year. Each student is given a country or person to represent and a topic to discuss. Topics are usually topics in debate in the United Nations at the time. Experienced members are eligible to attend overnight MUN conferences outside the immediate area like at Rutgers University in New Brunswick and Philadelphia Model United Nations in Old City, Philadelphia. Our club hosts our own conference, HADMUN, typically around mid to late March.

Description: Do you like helping others and explaining concepts? Do you excel in a particular class? Are you interested in working with a peer who may need help? If so, please consider becoming a peer tutor. The Peer Tutoring program allows students to work with their peers in order to practice concepts taught, increase their understanding, and ask questions in an approachable setting. Peer tutors provide an excellent resource to their classmates. Students who wish to tutor must be a junior or senior, and have an A in any subject area they are tutoring (an exception will be made for upper-level courses such as BC Calculus, whereby students must have at least a B). **NHS members may count their time toward service hours.**

Description: The Robotics Club at HMHS is a multifaceted approach to robotics as students will learn how to design, build, program and drive robots. Students will be working in teams to utilize the Vex robotics system to design a robot to compete in a statewide robotics competition. Computer science and engineering experience are not required since you will be learning the required skills as they become necessary to the next phase of design. We plan on meeting two times a week during lunch (days and times to be determined). Please see Mrs. Lau in Room A127 for more information.
