FCS Career Pathways
What is FCS?
Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) provides the foundation for FCCLA by teaching the real‑world skills that students apply through leadership, service, and career‑focused projects. FCS teachers serve as advisers, and FCCLA acts as the official student organization for all FCS education. Here at Grape Creek High School, we offer the hospitality and tourism pathway.
Why Take FCS Classes?
Family and Consumer Sciences classes prepare students for real life. You learn practical skills like managing money, planning for a career, understanding nutrition, and building healthy relationships. FCS helps students develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that apply to any career path. Whether you want to go to college, start a career, or both, FCS gives you tools you will use every day.
