Community service is at the heart of our FCCLA chapter. Our members actively plan, organize, and carry out meaningful service projects that address the needs of our community. Through teamwork and dedication, we work to make a positive impact by supporting local organizations, helping those in need, and creating opportunities to give back. Each project allows our members to grow as leaders while making a real difference in the community we serve.
The Rainbow Room Project was a community service project dedicated to supporting CPS families and children in need. Through this project, items were donated and monetary contributions were collected to help provide essential resources and comfort to those served by CPS. The goal was to give back in a meaningful way and help make a difficult time a little easier for the families and children who rely on these services.
The International Rescue Committee project focused on supporting immigrants and refugees by donating essential hygiene products. Through this project, items were collected to help provide dignity, comfort, and basic necessities to individuals and families adjusting to new beginnings. The goal was to offer support in a practical and compassionate way, helping meet everyday needs while showing care for those facing challenging circumstances.
The Lubbock Impact Project was a community service initiative focused on supporting individuals and families in need by donating hygiene products. Through this project, essential items were collected to help provide comfort, dignity, and daily necessities. The donations helped Lubbock Impact continue its mission of serving the community and making a positive difference in the lives of those they support.
Our FCCLA chapter completed a community service project for a local nursing home by coloring and writing cards to brighten the residents’ day. Each card was made with care and kind messages to spread joy, encouragement, and positivity. This project allowed members to connect with the community in a heartfelt way and remind the residents that they are valued and remembered.
