Enrichment

I was a 6th Grade ASB representative for my class two years ago and really liked working on ASB events. Last year, I decided to run for the Executive Treasurer position that is across 7th and 8th grades. This year, I aimed big and ran to be executive President. From making posters to giving a campaign speech, I really enjoyed the process. Plus, I won!

Another optional activity that interested students can compete in are the AMC 8 and Math Olympiad competitions. You can see clips of some of the questions and some of my work in the photos here. Some questions are *cough* "fun" because you apply your knowledge. Others you may have no idea how to do, which can be very painful.

Most of the time, I enjoy the tricky problems because they force you to think differently. While I did well in the AMC 8, I have not done as well as I would have liked in the Math Olympiad. I am still working on using my time well, double checking better, and not making silly mistakes.
