Yi Mun
Yi Mun and Moxbox collaborated on an exciting project to create a comic book that tells the story of Yi Jing’s life—the original Singapore Yi Jing comic.
Part of this project, we also designed and produced a highly detailed Yi Jing figurine. This exclusive figurine was proudly displayed at Singapore Comic Con, where it attracted attention. The combination of comics and figurines showcased our dedication to merging storytelling with craftsmanship, making Yi Jing’s story even more immersive and accessible to a wider audience.
The Final Product
This project was simple, as I only needed to spray the water waves, skin, and body of the figurine. The rest required careful hand-painting, mixing, and matching colors based on the reference sheet. I painted the eyes and finer details, ensuring precision. Afterward, I applied resin to the eyes to protect the paint and enhance their shine and clarity. Finally, I placed the yin-yang decal onto the figurine’s shirt, completing the design. The entire process required patience and attention to detail to achieve a polished and high-quality finish, bringing the figurine to life with vibrant artistry.
