As the Vice President of my school's Art Club, I take in pride to contribute to the planning and caring out of various club activities. I enjoy taking on leadership roles and supporting my peers through organization and collaboration. One of our annual events is the school’s Open House, where the Art Club sets up a booth to showcase students’ artwork to parents, prospective students, and visitors.
As a student leader, I am involved in planning the layout and exhibit of the booth, deciding how best to present the diverse range of artworks our members have created. One aspect I particularly enjoy is brainstorming and organizing interactive activities that visitors can participate in. This not only makes the booth more engaging, but also helps create a more memorable and immersive experience for our guests.
During the event, we take turns manning the booth, guiding visitors through the displays, and explaining the concepts, techniques, and creative processes behind the artworks. It’s a rewarding experience to represent the club, share our passion for art, and engage meaningfully with the public.

The Artworks I Did
In Art Club, we were given many different opportunities to explore various forms of art. One of the most exciting was working with ceramics, where we learned how to shape and mold clay into creative pieces. We also tried cyanotype, a unique photographic printing process that uses sunlight to create beautiful blue-toned images. Alongside these hands-on activities, we were encouraged to participate in art competitions, which helped us showcase our creativity and build confidence. These experiences not only taught us new skills but also allowed us to express ourselves through different artistic mediums and collaborate with others.
Climate Change and the Polar Bear’s Fate
This artwork showcases two icebergs from different perspectives. On the right side, a larger iceberg is shown with food and a healthy polar bear alongside its cub.
This represents how many people imagine polar bears living today—safe and well-fed. However, the left side reveals the reality: a shrinking iceberg with a weak, struggling polar bear. As climate change causes the ice to melt, polar bears are losing their habitat. With less ice, they are forced to swim longer distances to find food, leading to exhaustion, increased risk of drowning, and starvation—especially for cubs who cannot survive the harsh conditions.
