The 2nd grade classroom at Sun Valley

This Fall semester I was choose to do my fieldwork at Sun Valley Elementary in a 2nd grade classroom. Sun Valley is located in central San Rafael and holds grades TK-5. As a school there goal is to provide a safe and enriching environment for students to grow. During my time at Sun Valley I interacted with students and many times I worked one on one with students who were struggling. I learned that teaching is not easy. There are some times where you need to think of an activity to fill the time space or the lesson didn't go as planned. As a teacher you always need to be on your toes and to be ready to go at any moment.
