This project we drew a portrait of ourselves using pencils. We first made a grid to help draw our faces accurately. After we got the outlines drawn, we moved on and started to shade our shirt. We then worked on shading the skin on our neck and and adding depth by exaggerating the lights and darks. While we did that, we also did our eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. After the face was done, we indented lines to add more texture and make the hair more realistic. Then we used our pencils to draw our hair and added highlights to make it look like my hair. The goal of this project was to draw myself accurately. I really liked this project because I feel like it turned out really good. Something I would change is my eyes because I feel like they were not the same size.
This project we painted realistic food. We traced our picture onto our canvas and then painted it. The goal of this project was to paint a food that looked kind of realistic. I didn't like this project because I feel like I chose croissants to paint and didn't realize how difficult it would be. It took me a really long time to figure out how to kind of paint a croissant good enough and I would highly not recommend that anyone should paint croissants.
This project we etched a picture of an animal into Plexiglas to make prints. We first changed our picture into a drawing online so we could be able to know where to draw lines. We then etched until we liked it and then we put ink on it and printed. The goal of this project was to etch an animal and be able to print it, making it look good. I kind of liked this project, except I didn't like how messy it was with the ink. I really liked how mine turned out, and I'm glad that the part of grass that I messed up isn't too obvious.
