Self Portrait

I really enjoyed this project and am happy with the final result. It was fun to put all of the small details in and learn how to properly shade. This project was difficult but I had fun doing it and enjoyed seeing the drawing come to life. I enjoyed seeing it look more and more like me over time.

Painting

For this project, we chose a food to paint. I chose chocolate chip cookies. I really enjoyed painting this and learned a lot from it. Over each day, I learned what worked and to make the light and dark parts more extra than I think they need to be. I liked seeing it come to life and look more like the picture as it went on. I am very happy with the overall outcome with this painting.

Etching

For this project, we etched an animal into a piece of plexiglass and then printed the image onto paper using ink. I enjoyed this project and it was fun to figure out all of the different techniques in order to get the textures to look different from each other. I also enjoyed getting to print and do multiple types of prints. I did regular prints, some messier, and even got to add some watercolor to them. This was a fun project and I am happy with my final product.

Watercolor

For this project, we chose a type of architecture to trace and then watercolor. I chose a random house from the internet. I chose it because I like the color of the house and I liked the flowers in front of it. Then, we watercolored the whole thing. The hardest part of this project was finding the right colors and adding many layers to add more depth to the picture. Overall, I really enjoyed this projected and really enjoy watercoloring. It was fun to see it come to life with each layer that I added.

Transportation Colored Pencil

For this project, we chose a form of transportation to draw with colored pencils. I chose to draw a truck from my family's business that my brother drives. I really enjoyed this project and I am very happy with the end result. The hardest part of this project was getting all of the details on the drawing because I chose a very detailed picture. I really enjoyed figuring out how to do the metal parts and getting them to look realistic. Overall this was a very challenging but fun project.
