This is a pretty simple webcam design. It's more of an open design because the webcam will be hot glued onto the front face. The bottom part will have double-sided tape so that it sticks onto whatever it is placed on.
The images on the side provide an isometric drawing of the overall template and the isometric view of the case built on Onshape. It is on open design, however, it still covers and protects the webcam board.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make a USB webcam due to the fact that the single webcam I was able to salvage from the laptops donated to me didn't function. Since I didn't have a functioning webcam, I focused most of my time on the monitor and designing the case of the external hard drive. I didn't want to remove this as a product because this is still a possible idea. The video below gives a much more detailed step-by-step tutorial on how to salvage a Laptop Webcam which was posted by DIY Perks EXTRA.
