In addition to these core activities, there are supplementary events integral to our academic experience. A notable event is the conference, scheduled as part of the campus anniversary celebrations on November 2-3, 2023. This conference offers a platform for intellectual exchange and professional development. Furthermore, every Saturday during November (11th, 18th, and 25th), participants will embark on educational trips, providing opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. Additionally, aside from a city tour every Saturday, we were also got the opportunity to visit the School Farm on November 24th, it offered a hands-on experience related to agricultural education. These diverse activities aim to enrich our teaching practice, foster a holistic understanding of education, and contribute to our professional growth.
Through my teaching practice in Thailand schools, I've gained insights into effective science education methodologies for children. This experience not only expanded my understanding of English abilities but also motivated me to further improve my teaching skills. Particularly enlightening was the exposure to diverse classroom management techniques. Witnessing how teachers in Thailand build strong connections with students and maintain engagement has broadened my perspective on effective classroom management. It highlights the significance of creating a positive learning environment. One notable outcome is a significant improvement in my English language skills. Immersing myself in using English for both communication and teaching proved invaluable, enhancing my ability to convey ideas clearly and fostering better communication with students.
Duringmy teaching practice, one of the challenges that I faced was adapting to students' diverse learning styles. Achieving a nuanced understanding of their individual preferences became essential for facilitating a seamless learning process. To address this challenges, I closely observed my cooperating teacher and studied her instructional methods. By emulating her approaches, I aimed to enhance my ability to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring a more effective and inclusive teaching experience.
I would like to express my warmest gratitude for the invaluable opportunity to be a part of this program. The experience proved enriching, offering valuable insights, honing my teaching and language skills, and fostering a deeper knowledge to diverse cultures. Participation in the program significantly contributed to both my personal and professional growth. The exposure garnered valuable experiences, expanding my academic and cultural horizons. Actively engaging in teaching was pivotal in refining my pedagogical skills. The immersive program notably enhanced my language proficiency through consistent interaction in a foreign language setting, particularly in English. Beyond academics, the program allowed me to immerse myself in diverse cultures, broadening my perspective and deepening my appreciation for global nuances. A highly rewarding aspect was the chance to form lasting connections with peers and educators, providing a supportive network for future collaborations.
Having reflected on my experience in the Sea-Teacher program, I strongly believe that the program has the potential to provide valuable experience and insight to all those involved. The program has undoubtedly enriched my professional toolkit and has given me a broader perspective on teaching and learning. I am eager to apply the insights gained from this program in practical settings, and I am confident that it has the power to enhance the skills of future educators and inspire a spirit of continuous learning and cultural exchange. In order to further improve the program, I would love to suggest the initiation of a Teacher Professional Development Program for Sea-Teacher participants. During the Sea-Teacher program, it would be highly beneficial to incorporate activities related to teacher professional development. This addition would be particularly meaningful due to the presence of many international students, as it would better prepare us to become more effective educators in the future. I believe that such a program would greatly enhance the skills and competencies of the participants, ultimately contributing to the improvement of the education sector. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Additionally, I would like also to to express my sincere gratitude to the SEAMEO for implementing the Sea-Teacher program, as it has the potential to positively impact the lives of pre-service teachers. I strongly encourage the continuation and enhancement of the program to further contribute to the development of future educators and the field of education as a whole. This journey will be forever in my heart.
