Introduction
Goal settings is the process of identifying and working towards specific, measurement, achievable objectives within a defined time frame. it involves the development of an action plan designed in order to motivate and guide a person or group towards a goal. Goals are basically more deliberate than desires and momentary intentions. Therefore, setting goals means that a person has commited thought, emotion and behavior towards attaining the goal.
You can approach your goals by using the SMART method which is :
SPECIFIC
clearly define what you want to achieve
MEASURABLE
Include metrics so you can measure your progress
ATTAINABLE
Make sure your goals are ambitious and achievable
RELEVANT
Ensure your goals align with values and long term aspirations
TIME-BOUND
Set a reasonable deadline for each goal
This is my goal setting based on the SMART method
If i have any difficulties while doing the assignments, I must immediately go and ask my lecturer so that she/he can explain the material again so that I won't be confused. I can also talk to someone which is my mother to confess about my worries, problems and struggles. Her sweet voice and comfort would be the solutions for my 99 problems.
As you can see, my goal is to a get a good pointer at the end of the semester and finish all the assignments given by the lecturer.
I wanted to achieve my goals so that I can pursue my study in Diploma Bahasa Inggeris Komunikasi Professional. The reason why I'm a pre diploma student is because my SPM results do not comply with the conditions given by the course that I wanted. So now, I must do my best untill the end of the semester and make my wish come true. I also wanted to pay back my parents kindness and hardwork by making them proud of me.
Having difficulties while doing the assignments are one of the problems that may appear in the future. This is because too much work can be a burden for me especially if I'm struggling with the material. Besides, procrastination can also be the reason. I may procrastinate due to lack of motivation, low self-confidence, or fear of failure.
What I learned based on my goal settings is that setting a specific and meaningful goals helps me creates a purpose and motivation. This helps me staying organized and makes it easier monitoring my progress to ensures steady improvement. Besides, this worksheet reflects a strong commitment to achieving academic succsess while maintaining resilience and adaptability.
