This is my work from Session 1 of my IGCSE D&T. I learnt how to sketch basic shapes out of mostly straight lines. (using blue led macanical pencil) The first layer I sketch lightly to plan were my actual line will go. To sketch lightly I hold far away from the tip of the pencil (not too far). Then I go over the line that I actually want to be in my shape on the second layer. On the second layer I hold the pencil closer to the tip to make mt lines darker.
This is my work from session 2 of my IGCSE D&T. I continue with sketching out my shapes. What makes this harder in this lesson is that I have to draw a circle. My technique is to practice moving my hand in circular motion on a separate piece of paper first.
This is my work from session 3 of my IGCSE D&T. I start outlining my sketch with fine line pen. The thicker line which is the 0.8 tip is use for the line that won't be able to see after crossing it. Then I use the 0.5 fine line pen to go over the line that will be able to see after crossing. This is a way to communicate through sketches. After finishing the outline I start putting in colour using copic pen. The pen is alcohol base so if you go over it when the ink is still not dry it would be smooth but if you go over again when the ink is dry it would build up darker colour which makes the 3d effects.
This is my work from session 4 of my IGCSE D&T. I finished the rest of the marker rendering and lastly finished this piece of work with soft black pen to add shadow for more dept.
