The Bulldog Buzz (Grow Main Street) Project will empower students at Ravenna High School to develop competencies and build portfolio experiences in Agriscience, Technology, and Entrepreneurship to acquire the skills and dispositions to propel the Ravenna community toward economic growth and prosperity.

With the aid of a $100,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education, we are creating a never-before-seen educational program in public schools. By giving our students a curriculum with real-world applications to in-demand career paths, they will learn the critical-thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills they need to become the leaders of the future.

Students will build relationships with leaders in the apiary industry, with technology experts, and with community organizations supporting economic growth/entrepreneurship. Bee colonies will be placed on campus under the supervision of a CTE-certified agriscience instructor, and students will be responsible for all aspects of establishing, monitoring and maintaining the hives with healthy bees.

Students and teachers will establish new paradigms in collaboration, teaching and learning with community partners which can be replicated across the nation.  Students will be equipped with the transferrable skills needed for lifelong learning and fulfilling the talent demand in ANY industry  - - Agriculture, Healthcare, Cyber Security, Energy, Entrepreneurship, and more!
