Mrs. Block has taught at Ravenna since 2000, and was a National Outstanding Educator. She also led our Ag program to a National Outstanding program award!
Mrs. Block lives just outside Ravenna with her husband Matt, sons Trevor & Peyton and best dogs, Ruby & Remi. The family enjoys motocross, and Mrs. Block loves to garden and read in her free time.

Mrs. Kera Reterstoff joined RHS in the fall of 2022 after student teaching with Mrs. Block, then teaching for three years in Ithaca, MI.
Mrs. Reterstoff is originally from Fremont and is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Agriscience Education and a minor in Biology. She also has her Master's Degree in Agricultural and Extension Education from Michigan State University.
Mrs. Reterstoff was recognized as the State's Outstanding Early Career Teacher and also helped our Ag program to become the state's outstanding program in 2023.
Mrs. Reterstoff lives with her husband Spencer and daughter Macie, and they have a dog named Otis. They enjoy being active, hiking, and traveling.
Support Dog
Ruby is an eight year old Lab/Husky mix. She has been coming into the agriscience classroom since she was 6 weeks old.
Ruby's favorite things include belly rubs, dog treats, people food, peanut butter, stealing Remi's toys (and her food), "pretties" on her collars, dum dum suckers, and sleeping on couches.
Ruby's dislikes include vacuum cleaners (especially the robot ones), delivery people who don't bring dog treats, fireworks, thunder, and people who won't share their food.
Ruby is a very outgoing dog who loves everyone and is very social. If you are having a rough day, Ruby is a chubby dog who is good for snuggles!
You'll find Ruby just inside the ag room door every time a bell rings, wagging her tail in greeting.
Support Dog
Remi is Ruby's sister, from the same litter! Even though they don't look alike, she is also a Lab/Husky mix. Remi joined the family when she was a little older, around 6 months old.
Remi has been coming into the ag room since she was 9 months old. She is a little bit shy, and sometimes will bark her greetings to you, then follow up with her crazy loud tail wags. She is very silly when she gets to know you! She might be a little bit of a chicken dog, but she doesn't like it when we point that out.
Remi's favorite things include playing catch, chasing laser pointers, watching fireworks, pulling the stuffing out of toys, running fast, smacking Ruby with her front legs, cheez-its, smiling, french fries, and long naps in the sun.
Her dislikes include people sneaking up on her, and delivery people who drive big, scary trucks.
