I was a seventh-grader once, too! Here's my seventh grade photo - I was a North Scott Lancer. I enjoyed hanging out with friends, shopping, roller-skating, dancing, cheerleading, reading, polishing my fingernails, playing with our English Springer Spaniels (Toby, Spike, and Casey), and boating on the Mississippi with my parents and younger sister.

I continue to be passionate about education! Each summer I read professional books and/or take additional coursework to master my craft. Showing up equipped to be the best teacher I can be for each student on my roster is important to me.
Jill's graduation from the University of Norther Iowa was a hilight of the summer! Here's Jill in her graduation cap and Danielle and me in the audience!
I consider my family members to be my best friends. Here we are a few years ago at Circa 21. That's my sister on the left and my oldest niece in the middle. As you can see from the photos on the right, Jill and Danielle got all "spiffy" for our evening at Circa 21.
Charlie loves dragging his toys around the house, laying on the very top of his 6' cat tree, and stalking birds that he never catches.
Mimzie enjoys laying in the sun, hissing at Charlie, watching the fish in our 30 gallon tank, and eating cat treats.
Jill and I enjoy hiking outdoors and nature-watching. Here's a photo from a walk we took across the new I-74 bridge in the summer of 2022.
In high school, Danielle kept busy with Lancer Lights cheerleading , babysitting, dog sitting, being a PE partner for special needs students, and working at Fareway. Danielle earned her CNA certificate her junior year of high school! Danielle graduated from North Scott High School in 2023. As of the summer of 2025, she is still working a Fareway in the evenings, being a nanny during the day, and finishing up her associates degree at Scott Community College. She will begin Capri cosmetology school at the end of 2025.
