In weeks 7 and 8, I dedicated time to evaluate my toolkit components and design approach. During this assessment, I recognized areas that require further refinement, adjustment, or even a complete redesign.
FEEDBACK AND REFINEMENT:
After evaluating the develop portfolio, I received feedback and suggestions highlighting the importance of enhancing color contrast, clarifying the purpose and refining the materials, as well as making adjustments to the Product Design Specification table. The previous colour combinations of green + white and orange + white were mentioned to be less suitable in terms of readability and inclusivity to the color blind. As such, I took on a different design approach, reassessing color choices, font selection, and overall visual style.
MOODBOARD
A CHANGE IN DESIGN APPROACH
After exploring different design approaches, I incorporated a vintage or newspaper-inspired design style for the creative toolkit. I felt the design elements were able to enhance the effectiveness of narratives, encourage engagement and create a more organized and concise layout for educators.
It provides a unique and visually appealing approach to delivering better educational materials and promoting meaningful discussions for new creative practices.
