INITIAL NOTES
funeral - mourning - sadness - emotion
each individual has different experiences and emotions
it shapes their perceptions and actions as a human
PUTTING THEORY TO ACTUALISATION
This reading was interesting, and was difficult to link back to design for me personally. However, in reading this it was interesting to gain perspectives into the minds and inner thoughts of an individual, and as a designer we often have to get into the minds of our target consumer to design outcomes that cater to their needs and wants...
Is there Too Much to Know to be an Effective designer?

Beauty - material relationship
Form and function - "form follows function"
Problem Solving - design objects' real life context
Innovation - operational optimisation and measurement
Experience and Service - importance of usability
Strategic planning and vision
Value - transactional - can change over time, includes exchange of attention and emotion
PUTTING THEORY TO ACTUALISATION
As a designer, you need to critically consider the design problem at hand, and how to effectively resolve it. One must use their experience as a way to overcome issues and uncertainty within the design profession. One must use their previous experience to inform current choices and decisions.
IN STUDIO DOCUMENTATION
Visiting the Australian Gardens in Cranbourne...
To inform my design decisions and outcomes, I visited the Australian Gardens to learn about Australian flora.
In actually visiting the garden, I could effectively visualise the design task at hand - and come to a more refined design solution. The design solution was improved from its original progression and uncertainty.
