Gender diversity - male perspective - social inequity
NEED FOR CHANGE
"Jane Rendell stated that ‘one of the most important tasks of the women’s movement is to make visible the full meaning of our experiences and to reinterpret and restructure the built environment in those terms"
gender neutrality - gender sensitive cities - cater to ALL and have a clear awareness of those interacting in the space - flexibility and adaptability
"If we consider multiple rights to the city and recognize the contested publics that coexist within the city and their spatial tactics, there may be more productive ways to incorporate divergent experiences within planning practices." (Beebeejuan 2017: 331)
From a "thought" to a "thing" - understand the challenge at hand

INITIAL NOTES
"trans experience", finding small joys and knowing you are loved.
Gamification to get audience members to understand complex topics
informal formality - conversational - poetic
PUTTING THEORY TO ACTUALISATION
This was another interesting read - as it was more of an interview brochure. It was a poetic read, that made it interesting and informative. Clear call to action. Sensitive or complex topics with a clear, concise design approach make audience members more aware of their community and values.

In choosing my theme of travel, I wanted to see universal responses, as travel can be seen to be universal... Although travel itself, can be seen as a luxury, I wanted to understand the experience and emotions that occurs in everyday travel. For example, it doesn't have to be dining at the most expensive restaurant, it could be eating the ice-cream by the beach with loved ones...
