The descriptions are mostly written to teachers, but the ideas will help us to maintain focus and help me to prevent the conversation from sprawling out of control.
One area where I am asking for your help is in guiding the students to handle discussing personal reflections in a mature way. I pointed out to them that many of the topics we discuss will be personal and that our room needs to be a safe place to share those personal reflections. To that end, I asked that students limit their discussions to my room and home.
