Completing the Syllabus - with or without Metasyllabus -
After completing the editing of the syllabus, please click the "Send the Syllabus" button located at the top of the page.
If any information is missing, an informative pop-up window will appear indicating what needs to be corrected. Messages displayed in red are blocking alerts and prevent the syllabus from being submitted to the next stage. Sections affected by blocking alerts will appear in red. For example: the Professor Bio.
Remember that all sections must be completed in order to submit the syllabus.
You will not be able to make any changes to the syllabus after it has been submitted.
Once the syllabus has been submitted, its status will change from Professor to Materials Review, Coordinator/Area Director or Program Manager, as applicable. You will receive a confirmation email notifying you that the syllabus has been submitted.
The syllabus will be reviewed and either approved to proceed to the next stage or rejected. In the case of rejection, the person responsible will indicate the reason and provide a new deadline to implement the necessary changes before continuing with the process. You will receive an email notification.
META TIP
If you create a syllabus based on the Metasyllabus and there are discrepancies with its proposed content, a message will appear upon submission prompting you to review the differing sections or provide a justification for the changes.
Your syllabus will be published and made visible to students once it has been approved by the Documentation Department.
